💜 Monica

Some puppies launch themselves into your lap and demand to be the center of the universe.

Monica has a different strategy.

She simply looks at you.

And somehow, five minutes later, you’re wondering whether she’d prefer your side of the couch, your pillow, or complete ownership of your checking account.

At just 3 months old and 11.4 pounds, Monica is equal parts sweetheart, explorer, professional pinecone enthusiast, and tiny philosopher. Foster mom describes her as a thinker, and honestly, it fits. There always seems to be something happening behind those expressive eyes.

And those eyes? Dangerous.

Monica is the undisputed queen of eye contact. She’ll trot over in the middle of playtime for a quick snuggle or a few pets, look at you like you’ve been friends forever, then happily head back to whatever important puppy business she was conducting before. She loves affection, but she’s not glued to your side. Monica has mastered the art of being connected without being clingy.

🎾 Tiny Athlete. Tiny Genius.

When Monica isn’t charming humans, she’s usually busy inventing games.

Tennis balls are a favorite. So are sticks, pinecones, puzzle toys, snuffle mats, and convincing her sister that wrestling is a perfectly reasonable full-time occupation. She loves to run obstacle courses through furniture, squeeze through tiny spaces, and turn ordinary backyards into grand adventures.

She’s also a smart cookie. Monica flies through puzzle toys, is eager to please, and is already learning skills like sit, wait, and polite manners around food and doorways. With consistency and training, she’s the kind of puppy who is likely to pick things up quickly.

🐾 Life With Monica

Monica is wonderfully well-rounded for such a young puppy.

She does well with dogs of all sizes, shares toys nicely, rides calmly in the car when crated, and settles beautifully for naps and bedtime. In fact, foster mom reports that crate/pen time generally means one thing to Monica:

Sleep.

Like any young puppy, she’s still working on potty training and will need continued guidance as she grows. She’s already making great progress, but her tiny puppy bladder occasionally reminds everyone that she’s still very much a baby.

🌎 Future Adventure Partner

If foster mom had to predict Monica’s future, it would probably involve hiking trails, camping trips, backyard games, and plenty of opportunities to explore the world.

She has an adventurous spirit without being wild, confidence without being pushy, and enough independence that she could thrive either with another playful dog or as the center of attention in her own home.

Family looking for a puppy who can play hard, learns crazy fast, and then quietly curls up nearby when the day is done?

Now we’re talking.

💜 The Heart of Monica

What makes Monica *EXTRA* special that she makes you feel chosen.

She seeks out little moments of connection. A quick snuggle. A soft look. A check-in before she’s off on her next adventure.

They’re small moments.

But somehow they’re the ones that stay with you. There is depth in those eyes. Real connection. A soul-dog, perhaps?

And before you know it, you’re completely in love with a puppy who came over for thirty seconds, borrowed your heart, and never bothered giving it back.

If you’re feeling all the warm-fuzzies that Monica puts out, get your application in FAST for this deeply connected little girl!
