The world hasn’t always been kind to Addi and Dart. But through every heartbreak, every uncertainty, and every new beginning, they’ve had one beautiful thing they could always count on. Each other. ❤️

Help us to KEEP them together.

MY PERSONALITY

Temperament

Addi: Gentle, mild-mannered, affectionate, and a little thoughtful when meeting new people. Give her an introduction, a few treats, and an opportunity to get acquainted, and her loving personality begins to shine. Dart: A happy, loving, gentle little gentleman who makes his affection abundantly clear. He's especially enthusiastic when his favorite person comes home, and he's always delighted to enjoy a snuggle.

Social Style

Addi: Loves spending time with her people, especially women she's gotten to know. She's done well with both small and large dogs, happily shares human affection, and particularly enjoys the company of her brother. Dart: Friendly and affectionate with familiar people and wonderful with other dogs in his foster experience, including both males and females of various sizes. His sister is his favorite companion, and he's quite happy sharing his humans with other pups.

Energy

Addi: Enjoys a lovely balance of activity and relaxation. Daily walks, wrestling with Dart, and chasing him around the house or yard keep her entertained, followed by some well-deserved lap time. Dart: Has a playful streak and enjoys long afternoon walks to work off some of those zoomies. He loves romping and wrestling with Addi, and when the festivities conclude, he's perfectly happy to settle in for a good nap.

Trainability

Addi: Doing beautifully with her bathroom routine and currently estimated by her foster to be 95% potty trained. She's learning to sit before receiving a treat and responds well to patient, reward-based encouragement. Dart: Crate trained, comfortable on leash, and estimated to be 95% potty trained. He's making progress learning to sit for treats, which is excellent news because this gentleman takes his snack-related education VERY seriously.

Favorites

Addi: Lap naps, kisses, being petted, lounging near her favorite human, daily walks, wrestling with Dart, and occasionally demonstrating advanced bathroom gymnastics. Dart: Treats. Also treats. Have we mentioned treats? He also adores cuddles, chest rubs, head scratches, walks, afternoon naps, and playing with his favorite girl, Addi.

🐾 A Little About Addi & Dart!

Two little dogs. Four tiny paws each. One extraordinary love story.

Meet Addi and Dart, two ridiculously lovable Chihuahua mixes, approximately 4–5 years old, who have already figured out something that takes the rest of us a lifetime to learn: Life is better when you have someone who loves you by your side.

And these two? Well, they’re pretty darn convinced that someone is each other.

Addi is a petite 12.63-pound sweetheart with a heart made for loving. She’s gentle, affectionate, an enthusiastic distributor of kisses, and an accomplished lap warmer. Dart, her handsome 15-pound partner in crime, has never encountered a treat he didn’t appreciate, a good chest rub he’d turn down, or a reunion with his favorite human that didn’t deserve a celebration.

Together, they’re a pair of happy, wiggly little lovebugs who wrestle, chase each other around the house and yard, enjoy their daily walks, and have apparently decided that toys are wildly overrated when you’ve already got a perfectly good best friend.

But their story wasn’t always this happy.

In December 2025, Addi and Dart were rescued from a horrific cruelty case in Oklahoma. Both were severely emaciated, with body condition scores of just 2 out of 9. Their little bodies were so depleted that their legs bowed as they tried to walk. They were covered in fleas, their nails terribly overgrown, and they were frightened of the very people who should have protected them.

At the shelter, they cowered when people approached. With little interest from adopters and their time running out, they were scheduled for euthanasia.

Thankfully, another rescue stepped in.

They received nutritious meals, medical attention, treatment for their fleas, and something they desperately needed: kindness. Slowly, those little bodies grew stronger. Their confidence returned. They began discovering that human hands could offer wonderful things, like gentle petting, delicious treats, and a safe place to curl up.

And through it all, they had each other.

There was even a time when an Oklahoma foster considered keeping just one of them. Ultimately, that adoption didn’t happen, and Addi and Dart found themselves together once again, still waiting for a loving family of their very own.

Today, their lives look wonderfully different.

Addi spends her evenings happily snoozing on a lap, soaking up every available ounce of affection. She likes to keep her foster mom company while she works, presumably because important office business cannot possibly be conducted without adequate Chihuahua supervision. And she’s got one of the most spectacularly ridiculous bathroom techniques we’ve ever heard of: this little gymnast sometimes lifts BOTH back legs when she pees. We’re not entirely sure how she manages it, but we respect the commitment. 😂

Meanwhile, Mister Dart is busy being absolutely delighted with life. His favorite activities include snuggling, receiving head and chest rubs, taking long walks, eating practically anything edible, and celebrating whenever his foster mom returns home. At 15 pounds, he’s also decided that the concept of a lap dog’s weight limit is none of his concern.

They’ve become affectionate, playful, gentle little companions who are discovering just how wonderful life can be.

And now comes the part of their story we desperately want to get right.

We know finding a family for two dogs is harder than finding a home for one. We know we’re asking someone to open their home and heart twice as wide.

But when we look at Addi and Dart, we don’t see two dogs who happen to live together.

We see two little souls who have walked through the worst of life together, and who deserve to experience the very best of it the same way.

They’ve spent so much of their lives simply trying to get through whatever came next. We want their next chapter to be filled with soft blankets, happy walks, delicious dinners, ridiculous little zoomies, and people who love them BOTH beyond measure.

Most of all, we want them to finally experience something neither has truly had before.

A family that is theirs. A home that is theirs. And a forever that includes BOTH of them. ❤️

We will consider adopting them separately ONLY after all efforts to keep them together have been exhausted. Separately, their adoption fees will be $400 each.

If they are adopted together (contract will state that they must stay together) We will adopt both dogs into the same home for a total adoption fee of $350. Yes. We are *that* serious about giving them a wonderful life, in a loving home… TOGETHER. 💜🐾

Minimum Adoption Requirements

  • Fully-fenced, secure yard with room to run play, and explore.

  • A family committed to helping both of them continue to build confidence and continued enrichment and training.

MY IDEAL HOME 🏡

Addi and Dart aren’t asking for much. A loving family, cozy places to curl up, daily walks, plenty of affection, and someone who appreciates two little shadows following them around the house. They’ve done wonderfully with other dogs, and their gentle, affectionate personalities make them delightful companions. Addi just appreciates a little patience when meeting new people. Their experience with children and cats is still unknown.

But there’s one thing we’re hoping to give them above everything else. A forever home TOGETHER. ❤️

These two have survived hunger, cruelty, fear, and more uncertainty than any little dog should ever know. Through every frightening chapter, they’ve had each other. And now that they’ve finally discovered how wonderful life can be, the thought of asking them to face another enormous change without their best friend breaks our hearts.

We know adopting two dogs is a big ask. But somewhere out there, we believe there’s someone who won’t see two dogs to adopt. They’ll see two little hearts that have already been through so much together, and a beautiful opportunity to give them everything they’ve ever deserved. Together.

They’ve spent their lives being each other’s safe place. We’re hoping someone will finally give them a loving place to call HOME. Together. Forever. ❤️
