✨ Meet Nyx
Some puppies burst into your life like fireworks.
Nyx… is more like a quiet sunrise.
He still plays.
He still wiggles.
He still joyfully participates in the chaos of puppyhood with his brothers.
But underneath all of that is something a little different — something calm, steady, and deeply affectionate that makes people pause for a second and say:
“Wait… there’s something really special about this one.”
Born December 4, 2025, Nyx is a Mini Schnauzer / Poodle mix puppy weighing 7.5 pounds, with a soft scruffy coat, gentle demeanor, and the kind of soulful brown eyes that seem to look straight through the surface and into your heart.
His foster mom describes him in one simple but powerful way:
“He’s a soul dog.”
And once you meet him… you’ll probably understand exactly what she means.
🐻 A Tiny Gentleman in a Scruffy Coat
Like his brother Blot, Nyx is an adorable little scruff-a-lufagus with fluffy black-and-white fur that looks permanently tousled in the most charming way possible.
But where Blot brings the wiggles and helicopter tail energy, Nyx carries himself with a slightly calmer, thoughtful presence.
His big brown eyes are the star of the show. They’re warm, soft, and incredibly expressive — the kind of eyes that make you feel like this tiny creature somehow understands you better than you understand yourself.
He’s the kind of puppy who looks at you like you are the most important person in the entire world.
And honestly?
He probably believes that you are.
💜 A Puppy Who Just… Loves
Some dogs warm up slowly.
Nyx did not get that memo.
His foster mom says she’s rarely seen a puppy who trusts and loves people so quickly. From the start, he has simply assumed that humans are wonderful and that being near them is exactly where he belongs.
He follows his people around the house like a soft little shadow and settles patiently nearby while you work, nap, watch TV, or do whatever it is humans do all day.
When you finally have time for him?
That’s when the magic happens.
Pick Nyx up and he melts into your arms, gently pressing in close and doing something that can only be described as hugging and nuzzling. He relaxes completely, happy just being close to the person he loves.
It’s the kind of affection that feels calm, sincere, and deeply genuine.
Not demanding.
Not frantic.
Just… love.
🎾 Playtime With the Brothers
Of course, Nyx is still very much a puppy — and that means playtime is a big part of his daily life.
He enjoys playing with his foster brothers and gets along beautifully with the other dogs in the home. His foster mom mentioned she’s rarely had babies who played together so easily and respectfully.
Nyx enjoys toys and especially likes long toys that allow for tug games, happily pulling and wrestling with his brothers during their play sessions.
And when playtime winds down?
Nyx is perfectly content to curl up nearby and recharge for the next adventure.
🧠 A Smart Little Guy Still Learning the Ropes
Nyx is a bright little puppy who is still learning all the basics of being a well-behaved dog in a human world.
He’s currently working on potty training and is doing well going outside when taken out regularly throughout the day. He also uses potty pads, although like most young puppies he sometimes misses the target while he’s still figuring things out.
This is very typical puppy behavior and will continue to improve as he grows and develops with a consistent routine.
Nyx is eager to please and very people-focused, which are wonderful traits when it comes to training and bonding with his future family.
🏡 The Kind of Home Nyx Deserves
Nyx would do well in many loving homes — families, couples, or individuals — but his foster mom has one particular hope for him.
She sees Nyx as a dog who would thrive with someone who truly dotes on him.
Someone who appreciates quiet companionship.
Someone who enjoys a dog that wants to be nearby.
Someone who values that deep bond that forms between a person and their dog.
He could certainly live with respectful, gentle children and other dogs, but he would also be perfectly happy in a home where he gets a lot of one-on-one love and attention.
Nyx is the kind of dog who will build a deep connection with his person — the kind of connection that makes people say years later:
“That dog was my heart.”
💫 Those Eyes
When Nyx looks at you, his foster mom says it feels like he’s looking straight into your soul.
There’s a gentleness there.
A quiet loyalty.
A sweetness that makes people smile without even realizing it.
He waits patiently while you’re busy.
But when it’s finally time to sit down together?
Nyx is ready.
Ready to snuggle.
Ready to love.
Ready to be exactly the kind of companion people hope for when they bring a dog into their lives.
KNOWN HISTORY:

About This Breed Mix:
What a pistol! Smart, active, and adorable, the Schnoodle has become a popular hybrid dog breed. As a cross between the Poodle and the Schnauzer, their coats can showcase an array of colors, ranging from black, to gray, to white, to sable, to even apricot. While most Schnoodles are small, their size varies due to the three distinct size variations of both Schnauzers and Poodles. Larger Schnoodles remain relatively uncommon. Currently, there’s no established breed standard for Schnoodles. Given that, their different sizes are simply and loosely categorized as Toy, Miniature, Standard, and Giant. With a weight range spanning six to 76 pounds, the Schnoodle has a place as a lap dog, family companion, therapy aid, or even a performance dog. Their role extends to guarding loved ones, showcasing their prowess as diligent protectors. The Schnoodle’s charm lies in the fusion of their parent breeds’ best traits. To clarify, this hybrid‘s appeal stems from often having the Poodle’s willingness to please mixed with the sturdiness and activity of the Schnauzer. Plus, they are whip smart and easy to train. To this end, their sharp intellect and liveliness necessitates a daily need for physical and mental engagement in order to stave off boredom. Otherwise, be prepared to address this pup’s potentially destructive behavior. Inherent in Schnauzers is a tendency to favor one person over others, a trait often passed down to Schnoodles. While they maintain affection for the entire family, occasional preferences arise. If their favored person remains absent for too long, these dogs may grapple with separation anxiety. Nonetheless, this pup’s playful and affectionate nature thrives on enjoyment, consistently commanding attention and infusing delight into every moment with their loved ones.
