ADOPT SULLIVAN!
Hiya! I’m Sullivan aka Sully. I am a 3 month old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and in case you didn’t know my breed comes from Ireland! That means that I could be your very own lucky charm! Right now I am tri-colored but by the time I am two years old, my fancy colors should be gone and I will have a nice “wheaten” color. I will require haircuts and regular brushing to keep my hair looking luscious. I am still learning to puppy and coming out of my shell. I LOVE car rides! I take my foster kids to school everyday. If I’m not sleeping in the seat, then I’m looking out the window at the world. I have so many toys here to play with and a lot of them even hide treats! I love it when I get to figure out how to get the treats out! I’m a smart boy and these kinds of toys are really great enrichment for me! I like to run super fast zoomies in the backyard with all of the other dogs here. They are really big so I have to be careful sometimes! I would love for my forever home to have a nice backyard so I can run zoomies there, too! My foster mom loves to listen to her music while she cleans so we jam out all the time. I am still learning that the vacuum isn’t a monster. But cut me a little slack! I lived in a little cage up until a month ago, so lots of things are new to me still. I also learned what water is! OMG you guys! I think EVERY dog should have a pool to play in. They are SO MUCH FUN! My favorite dog to play with is Wrigley. He is an Australian Shepherd and is so fluffy like me! I hope my new family has a friendly dog for me to play with! When I am done playing, I like to snuggle with the hoomans and relax. The little hooman is so nice to cuddle with, and he keeps me warm and cozy.
One thing all these other dogs do is make this barking noise… I’m not sure what it is so I haven’t decided to join in when they do it (which seems to be a lot lol). I am working on my manners and I feel that I am doing really good so far!
I am a pretty chill dude. I like to go with the flow, and as long as my hoomans are there to love me, I’m a happy boy! After playing with my friends and toys for a bit, I’m always happy to snuggle in with you on the couch for some relaxing TV time. Do I sound like I could be your new best guy? If so, please fill out dat adoption application!
KNOWN HISTORY – This precious kiddo was surrendered to rescue by a commercial kennel. These dogs were nothing more than a number in their previous lives, but their lives changed forever the day they were surrendered to PRAR! They’ve spent their time with us living in wonderful, loving foster homes learning what it’s like to be genuinely loved. ❤️
Won’t you please consider adding this precious, sweet, loving little boy to your family? If you are not quite ready to add a new member to your family, won’t you please #SHARE our adoptable kiddos on social media? You never know when your share is the share that will bring them home.
Sullivan’s adoption fee is $850 and includes neuter, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations, and dewormers, and 30 days of medical insurance. He will come home with a hobo bag of things to help him get started in his new furever home. You can apply to welcome him into your family by completing an adoption application below.
Please understand that adopting from P.R.A.R. means FOREVER. Please do NOT apply if you do not have the time to properly train and exercise a dog (now and in the future) or if you do not meet the minimum adoption requirements for the dog in which you are applying.
About This Breed:
Sturdy and fun loving, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is a friend to one and all. They’re relatively easygoing for a terrier, need a moderate amount of exercise, and can make a great family dog. The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, often referred to simply as the “Wheaten,” hails from Ireland. They were originally bred as versatile farm dogs, serving as all-around working dogs on Irish farms. These affectionate pups love just about everybody they meet. They’re even good for first-time pet parents. This is, of course, great news for any future pet parents thinking of adding a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier puppy to their home. But beware: that soft, silky coat needs a lot of grooming, and the Wheaten can occasionally be hard headed when it comes to training. They also need a couple short walks and play sessions each day to stay happy and healthy. Meet the breed’s needs, and you’ll have a loving pup who will be popular with everyone!
