Spencer & Griffin
Meet Spencer and Griffin! All dogs are cute. Some dogs are Cuter. THESE dogs are O.M.G. CUUUTE! These WONDERFUL boys are chalk full of personality and spunk! These little dudes are truly amazing. Spencer is about 2 years, and Griffin is about 1 year old. Spencer knows what he wants, and he will sucker you into giving it to him! Spencer loves playing with his bestest friend, Griffin, and he is Griff’s guardian, or at least he thinks he is. Spencer isn’t quite as interested in playing with other pups as much as he is with Griff. Spencer watches closely, like a protector does. He *might* chime in with a growl if he doesn’t like how Griffin is being treated by other dogs, but Spencer doesn’t really join in on any action. But… Spencer will play with Griffin for an hour straight without missing a beat! He likes to check in while his humans work, just to say hi; checking in for treats perhaps? Yes please! Spence prefers to nap under desks during the day, close to you, but not TOO close. Spencer also really enjoys looking out the window at the world going by… kinda like a cat. And if he has to climb on two chairs and a desk to do it he will make that happen! Spencer is learning more and more every day that cuddling with his hoomans is REALLY cool! When the humans are on the couch at night he will jump up for a visit. At first he only stayed for a few minutes, but every night that he’s been with us, he stays a little longer. Spencer never goes far. He will sit at our feet, but he seems to prefer his personal space. Nighttime is actually the one time of day he doesn’t focus on Griffin. Spencer prefers to sleep on the couch alone instead of in the “puppy pile” that is the other four dogs in the house. Spencer can be vocal. He will let you know, in the most adorable little way if he needs attention. He will let you know if he hears a noise. He will let you know if he’s excited, sad, mad… he will make sure you know what is going on in the home! It kinda takes the guess work out of pet ownership! Spencer is really great at going out to potty, too! One fun quirk is that he doesn’t love closed doors. Doesn’t matter who is with him, (his brother, his humans, doesn’t matter) on whichever side of the door he’s on, if a door is closed he will try to get it open. It has been so fun to see him grow more and more comfortable, snuggly and watch his personality emerge.
And then there is Griffin! Griffin is a snuggler! He wants to give you kisses and sleep right up next to you. He plays hard, sleeps hard and gives you the cutest little puppy dog eyes when he’s in the mood for a treat. He loooooves to play. Griffin is a champion fetcher, he almost even brings the toys back to you! But more often than not he gets distracted with something different and forgets. Griffin is definitely more comfortable around people, but him being comfortable helps Spencer to know that people aren’t scary. He loves playing with Spencer, but will also have a fierce tug of war with the other dogs in the home. He’s vocal, but never the one who starts it, he just chimes in when the other dogs are singing the chorus. Griffin LOVES the snow. He jumps around like a gazelle out there, having the time of his life! It’s hard to get him to come in sometimes! Spencer is less interested in all that cold white stuff, (we don’t blame him!) and would do well to have a little no-snow area for his business. Griffin and Spencer both know to potty outside. Any accidents have been because we missed their signnals and didn’t open the door in time. Neither of these kiddos has had ANY interest in learning the dog door. Even as treat motivated they are, and the 100 times they’ve seen their foster siblings come in and out, they would NOT touch those flaps. These inquisitive little guys are just about as chill and sweet and lovely as can be though! There are not enough sweet, wonderful, amazing, profound words to say about them! You’ve got to meet them to see for yourself what a wonderful pair they really are! We can’t wait for them to find their forever family so that they both completely come out of their shells and know they are forever loved. Give them a chance folks – these dogs have blown the socks off of BOTH foster homes they’ve been in. EVERYONE loves Spence and Griff… EVERYONE! These two clowns will keep you laughing and covered in lovies! We think these boys would be PERFECT for a family who would like a couple of dogs who already love each other, will keep each other company, and are clearly meant to be together!
KNOWN HISTORY – Spencer and Griffin were found tied to a tree in OKC. Dumped like trash, their coats in horrible condition… they were left to the elements. There was NO reason for these two adorable, sweet, loving little dogs to be treated like garbage. PRAR brought them into our program to show them just what it feels like to be a cherished member of a real family. ♥
Won’t you please consider adding these precious, sweet, loving little angels to your family? If you are not quite ready to add a new member to your family, won’t you please #SHARE our adoptable kiddos on social media? You never know when your share is the share that will bring them home.
