About this breed:

The Australian Shepherd is a medium-sized dog with a moderately long, double coat that can be straight or wavy. They are intelligent, energetic, and loyal. Aussies are typically eager to please and are easy to train. They are also very good with children and other pets. Aussie dogs are very active and need plenty of exercise. They are well-suited for a variety of activities, such as agility, obedience, and herding. Aussies exhibit an irresistible impulse to herd, anything: birds, dogs, kids. This strong work drive can make Aussies too much dog for a sedentary pet owner. Aussies are remarkably intelligent, quite capable of hoodwinking an unsuspecting novice owner. But if you’re looking for a brainy, tireless, and trainable partner for work or sport, your search might end here.
