Are you looking for THE most perfect dog, EVAH? Well, look no further than this 1 year old English Shepherd mix boy!! Sheldon is absolutely GORGEOUS with his rich, mahogany coat, a sweeping tail fringed black with light tips, and big, deep, soulful eyes. ♥ But the first thing you’ll probably notice are his wonderful ears! They are so adorably… flopsy. Sheldon is 30 lbs of pure love and joy, and he truly is THE. WHOLE. PACKAGE. my friends! This boy is smart and social, Sheldon makes friends with literally every single person he meets. He represented P.R.A.R. at our Halloween fundraiser by greeting absolutely anyone who would give him the time of day, getting lots of pets and giving snuggles to all who would let him. Sheldon’s calm, loving personality is a hit with everyone who meets this special guy. He is a go with the flow, cheerful participant in everything going on in the house. He loves all of his hoomans and regularly gives lots of love and snuggles to everyone in the family. Sheldon hangs with the big dogs, too! He enjoys a good wrestle with his large, friendly foster brother, and then enjoys curling up in front of the fire for a snooze. Sheldon is great at keeping himself entertained. His favorite pastime is precision dissection of toys to remove the squeakers. He’ll do well with some tough chewer toys for sure. Toys without squeakers are treated with all the love and affection Sheldon has. Sheldon is potty trained and great about sleeping in his crate in our daughter’s bedroom. Training him to sit has gone very well because he is all about the treats! Sheldon comes when called and is amazing on the leash. We have learned that Sheldon can be a very emotional, sensitive soul, and he may have previously witnessed some sort of domestic abuse. Hearing his hoomans yelling is scary to him, he will cower and tinkle when this situation arises. We would love to see our sweet, gentle boy go to a loving, calm, fun home, with a fun doggo to play with.  KNOWN HISTORY – Shockingly, this unbelievably amazing boy was found running stray in OK. No owners ever claimed him, and he was at risk for being euthanized. Folks… meet him. See for yourself what we are talking about. This world NEEDS this dog. We couldn’t imagine a world without him in it. He really is THAT special… that WONDERFUL! So as soon as we were able to make space, we brought this “gift” of a dog into our program. This special boy has so much more to offer humanity.

Won’t you please consider adding this precious, sweet, loving little boy to your family? If you are not quite ready to add a new member to your family, won’t you please #SHARE our adoptable kiddos on social media? You never know when your share is the share that will bring them home.

Sheldon’s adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations, dewormers, and heartworm prevention started. He will come home with a hobo bag of things to help him get started in his new furever home. You can apply to welcome him into your family by completing an adoption application below.

Please understand that adopting from P.R.A.R. means FOREVER. Please do NOT apply if you do not have the time to properly train and exercise a dog, (professional training will be required within 1 year of adoption) or if you do not meet the minimum adoption requirements for the dog in which you are applying, (see minimum requirements above).
