With soulful eyes and a wrinkled brow, #AdoptableRiley sometimes looks like a little befuddled old man in the most ADORABLE way possible! This little angel has been through a lot, and he’s just looking for a safe, loving, furever home. <3 Riley was previously adopted out, but the adopter’s larger dog attacked Riley within about an hour of being in his new home. Riley was immediately brought back to rescue, where he was promptly taken for surgery to repair a large tear in his ear. He still bears the scars of this event, and we hope they they will fade. But if they don’t, we hope that you can look past them and see the absolutely perfect, amazing pup that Riley is. There aren’t enough wonderful words to say about this little dude. Riley is the perfect definition of everything a puppy should be: loveable, snuggly, silly, playful, adorable and a quality snuggler! Riley loves every single person and every single dog he’s met! And he finds every single toy super exciting! He can entertain himself, usually with a squeaky ball, but is happiest playing with his MaltiPoo foster sister. When everyone is tired he plays with his toys, sniffs our shoes and wanders around taking everything in, waiting for someone to build up their energy for another play session. Riley is doing fantastic on his pee pads, he’s a good listener, sleeps through the night and is excellent at sitting on command. After being injured by a larger pup we were worried that he might be scared of bigger dogs, but that is not the case! He just spent the weekend with a 45 lb hound mix and didn’t miss a beat! He was playing with her just like he does with his 14 lb buddy at home. Riley wore a cone for ten days and didn’t whine once. He’s just happy to be with his people and can easily adapt to anything. He would be a great addition to an active household, either with kids and/or other friendly dogs to play with or active adults who need a hiking companion. Riley loves to snuggle when he’s sleepy, OHHHH those precious sleepy snuggles! Have you ever been nuzzled in the neck by a puppy in a cone? Because it’s one of the best feelings in the world. He will lay on you, he will nuzzle you, he will cover you in the most gentle puppy kisses ever. This pup is a big ball of love and happiness and we are excited to find the perfect family who will love him as much as he will love them.

Riley and his 10, yes TEN siblings were found after they and their mama, Bonnie, had been unceremoniously dumped in a rural field in Oklahoma. The babies were maybe a day old, and their mom was emaciated and in absolutely atrocious condition. We stepped in and got this precious family to Colorado within a week to begin the healing process. Mama Bonnie has the most loving, forgiving, soft and gentle disposition. If her pups have even half of her temperament, they are going to be AMAZING! She has done well to raise all of these pups and teach them pack manners. Of course, it will be up to their new hoomans to continue their education & training to help them become the best doggos ever!

Won’t you please consider adding this precious, sweet, loving little boy to your family? If you are not quite ready to add a new member to your family, won’t you please SHARE our adoptable kiddos to your social media? You never know when your share is the share that will bring them home.
