Hi Frenz, I’m Ranger! My rescuers tell me that I’m the most adorable 3-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel you’ll ever meet. My coat is like a deep red sunset, and it’s as soft as melted butter. Maybe that’s why they love to snuggle me so much?
Let me tell you a bit about my journey. I was rescued from a commercial kennel, and now I’m living this wonderful life, with wonderful people who really love me. I’m exploring this new world with wide-eyed wonder. I’ve discovered this thing called toys – oh boy, am I the KING OF ANYTHING THAT SQUEAKS! Sticks? Yes, please! But tennis balls? Nah, they seem a bit suspicious to me. I don’t trust their motives so I keep my distance.
I’m kind and loving to the core. I might be a tiny pup, but I’ve got really big emotions. When the other dogs get a bit too rowdy for my liking, I seek refuge in the arms of my humans. They’re my safe haven, and I know they’ll protect me.
Love radiates from my soul, and I’ve got nothing but sweetness to share. My big, questioning eyes lock onto yours, silently asking if you’re going to be here for me and not let me down. I want so badly to please you, and for you to genuinely care for me, too.
Let’s talk about some things that make me special. I’ve got a patch of white under my chin that’s like a little work of art. And my eyes? Well, they’re like portals to my heart, full of understanding and affection. When I run, I hop like a bunny – it’s just too much fun not to! I hop before I pick up sticks, too.
My foster mama says that if I were a high school senior, I’d be that all-around awesome guy. Quarterback on the field, captain of the debate team, and the one who organizes the school’s very first emotionally-aware day. I’d be the respectful buddy to my peers, a loving sibling, and I’d always make sure to bring a smile to my mama’s face.
I’m here for the long haul, and my heart is wide open. I’m still learning about potty training, but with your patience and positive vibes, I’m sure to get the hang of it soon. I thrive on attention – I mean, who doesn’t love cuddles and belly rubs?
A friendly four-legged friend in my new home would be really nice, but if it’s just you and me, that’s okay, too. Just please don’t leave me home alone, my happy place is with you, always. As long as I have you, life is perfect. I’m adaptable to any living situation, as long as you’re there by my side. I’m a smarty pants too – I’m working on sit, down, and stay. It’s tricky, but seeing your face light up when I get it right is the best feeling ever! I’m ready to find my soulmate, my special person who will love me for all of my days. Is that you?
KNOWN HISTORY – This precious kiddo was surrendered to rescue by a commercial kennel. These dogs were nothing more than a number in their previous lives, but their lives changed forever the day they were surrendered to PRAR! They’ve spent their time with us living in wonderful, loving foster homes learning what it’s like to be genuinely loved. ❤️

Ranger’s adoption fee is $850 and includes neuter, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations and dewormers, and 30 days of medical insurance. He will come home with a hobo bag of things to help him get started in his new furever home. Please understand that adopting from P.R.A.R. means FOREVER. Please do NOT apply if you do not have the time to properly train and exercise a dog, (professional training will be required within 1 year of adoption) or if you do not meet the minimum adoption requirements for the dog in which you are applying, (see minimum requirements above).
About this breed:
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel wears his connection to British history in his breed’s name. Cavaliers are the best of two worlds, combining the gentle attentiveness of a toy breed with the verve and athleticism of a sporting spaniel. The Cavalier’s all-around beauty, regal grace, and even temper mark him as one of dogdom’s noblemen. A toy spaniel no more than 13 inches high, the Cavalier draws you in with his face: The sweet, gentle, melting expression emanating from large, round eyes is a breed hallmark. Another is the silky, richly colored coat that can be one of four distinct varieties. Cavaliers may be aristocrats, but they gladly descend from their royal high horse for a backyard frolic or a squirrel chase. They get along nicely with children and other dogs. Adaptable Cavaliers do equally well with active owners and homebodies; they can be upbeat athletes or shameless couch potatoes, depending on an owner’s lifestyle.
