💗 PIPS 💗

Pips is such a charming lady – she is equal parts silly, playful, independent, and confident. This young Schnauzer/Terrier mix girl will follow you around the house so she doesn’t miss a single moment of the action, but once she knows what’s going on she’s off to find a comfortable place to rest until it’s time to play again. Name a game, and Pips will play it! She loves to run and bounce, it’s like she’s spring loaded! She gets along great with the other friendly dog in the home. They love to wrestle and chase one another endlessly and she loves to pounce on him when he’s not looking! She loves being outside with you – playing, sunbathing, or curiously checking her favorite spots for new smells. Her favorite toys are tennis balls and sturdy chew toys. She has a thing for chewing and gnawing! She will find all of the tiny sticks in the yard and attempt to chew them down, but hands them over easily when told, and has not tried to chew on anything in the house. She isn’t mouthy when playing with people. Pips is getting used to being combed each day and is learning to love being pampered. Once you comb back the hair from her eyes you can see her beautiful feathery eyelashes!  While she would prefer to be curled up near you, especially at night, she will make herself comfortable in her crate and goes in with minimal fussing when she needs to. She listens well and is easy to redirect. She happily responds when you ask her to “go this way” and if she’s getting a little too curious a gentle “ope” will get her attention – she just wants to please! It took a few days to get potty training down, but now it’s going smoothly, and she consistently goes potty outside. A schedule and lots of positive reinforcement will help her stay on track. She gets a late bathroom outing, and then sleeps through the night! Pips has taken to her daily routine really well. Her foster dad says she’s the happiest alarm clock he’s ever had! She wakes up every day looking for snuggles, and they are the sweetest snuggles ever! Pips wakes up happy and it’s contagious. If you are in need of a friend that is silly, smart, cuddly, curious and HAPPY – Pips is your gal!

KNOWN HISTORY – Pips was dumped out in the middle of nowhere OK. When an owner could not be located, she was transferred into our program where we promised her we would find her the most perfect family for her ♥
