Are you my family? My name is Mist, and I may be just a teeny tiny 3-month-old Maltese puppy, but I’ve got a heart as big as the whole universe!
First things first, let’s talk about my looks. People say I have the softest, most luxurious, buttery-soft white hair you’ve ever seen. I like to think of myself as a little cotton ball of heavenly fluffiness. But let me share a secret with you—I wasn’t always living the good life. You see, I was rescued from a puppy mill, where life was pretty tough. But now, I’m embracing every moment of freedom and loving life outside of that cage.
One thing you should know about me is that I’m smart as a whip! I’ve been making great progress with my potty pad training. I want to be on my best behavior for my forever family, after all. Speaking of family, I really enjoy the company of other dogs. So, if you have another friendly pup in the house, that would be ideal for me. I’m not too keen on being alone for long hours, so a family that’s around to give me love and attention would be perfect.
I have a bit of a princess side too, I must admit. I absolutely adore having my beautiful hair brushed. It makes me feel like true royalty. And let’s talk about snuggling—I’m a bonafide snuggle machine! I’ll wrap my paws around your arms as if to hug them, and I’ll hold on tight. I just can’t resist the warmth and love of a good snuggle session.
Toys are fun, don’t get me wrong, but if I have to choose between playing with a toy or spending time with my favorite person (that’s you, by the way), I’ll choose you every time. I’m a confident little cotton ball who will definitely take charge of your heart and make sure you know how much I adore you. Won’t you please come meet me and see if I’m your furever girl?
KNOWN HISTORY – This precious kiddo was surrendered to rescue by a commercial kennel. These dogs were nothing more than a number in their previous lives, but their lives changed forever the day they were surrendered to PRAR! They’ve spent their time with us living in wonderful, loving foster homes learning what it’s like to be genuinely loved. ❤️

Mist’s adoption fee is $850. Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations and dewormers, and 30 days of medical insurance. She will come home with a hobo bag of things to help her get started in her new furever home. You can apply to welcome her into your family by completing an adoption application below.
Please understand that adopting from P.R.A.R. means FOREVER. Please do NOT apply if you do not have the time to properly train and exercise a dog (now and in the future) or if you do not meet the minimum adoption requirements for the dog in which you are applying.

Famous for their show-stopping, floor-length coat, Maltese are playful, charming, and adaptable toy companions. Maltese are affectionate toy dogs weighing less than seven pounds, covered by a long, straight, silky coat. Beneath the all-white mantle is a compact body moving with a smooth and effortless gait. The overall picture depicts free-flowing elegance and balance. The irresistible Maltese face’ with its big, dark eyes and black gumdrop nose’ can conquer the most jaded sensibility. Despite their aristocratic bearing, Maltese are hardy and adaptable pets. They make alert watchdogs who are fearless in a charming toy-dog way, and they are game little athletes on the agility course. Maltese are low-shedding, long-lived, and happy to make new friends of all ages. Sometimes stubborn and willful, they respond well to rewards-based training.
