💗 ADOPT LLOYD! 💗

Whooooo is this adorable little red fox, you ask? It’s LLOYD! And lil’ Lloyd is looking for a wonderful forever home! This sophisticated little man is a 3 month old, 8lb Shiba Inu pup who enjoys intellectual challenges, time soaking up the great outdoors, learning basic commands, and when he’s all tuckered out he’s ready for a long hard nap. He is an independent kinda guy who isn’t needy or clingy, and won’t smother you with constant requests for attention. He knows that we all need our space sometimes, and he’s respectful of that. True to his breed, this boy is SMART! He learned to use the bell to go outside in one day and is expanding his knowledge daily. Lloyd enjoys playing with his foster doggy sisters, but doesn’t necessarily need another dog to pal around with. He’s cool like that. If he has his hooman, enrichment toys and activities, a comfortable bed and some good chow, he’s good with that. This breed is known for their agility and endurance, and would be king of the hiking trails in our beautiful Rocky Mountains! 🏔️ So if you’re looking for a confident, gorgeous, athletic guy who isn’t super clingy or needy, but who will cozy up for a netflix binge every now and then… you may have just found “THE ONE!” Lloyd’s darling personality as an independent explorer and his sweet fox face will melt the hearts of any outdoor enthusiasts looking for a buddy to explore the beautiful outdoors!

About this breed:

The Shiba is alert, confident, courageous and bold. It is loving, kind, trainable and brave. It is clean and most try to avoid puddles and are relatively easy to housebreak. They bark little and bond closely with their handler. Playful and delightful, a well-adjusted Shiba is good with kids, other dogs and cats. Active, lively, agile and fast. Socialize this breed well as a puppy, as they can be reserved with strangers. If the Shiba is not completely convinced that its handler can handle the pack leader position and regards itself as stronger minded it will become a bit stubborn as it will believe it needs to make up its own rules. Proper human to canine communication is essential. A natural hunting dog, the Shiba should not be trusted alone with small pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents and small birds. Be careful when taking them off leash as they like to chase, especially if they do not regard their owners as a strong pack leader. A small, alert, and agile dog that copes very well with mountainous terrain and hiking trails, the Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting.
