#AdoptableKona is fearless, spunky, fun-loving, energetic, and adventurous. She is often found racing around the kitchen island either to chase or escape her playmates. With no fear, she plays tug-o-war and wrestles with her much larger playmates like her mom and our 80 pound Labrador. She unleashes her kisses at top speed and when she is exhausted she will gladly lay in your arms for a belly rub before she crashes for a nap. Cell phones are not one of Kona’s favorite human items as she has discovered that it takes away play time from her 😂 She loves snack time and likes to pounce and play with her treats before she settles down to gnaw on them for awhile. There is no question that Kona will be most happy in an active home, exploring new places and things that could include children or other dogs and/or cats. While out of her pen, Kona uses the potty pads about 50% of the time and is improving every day! But as such a young baby, will obviously require continued potty training at her new home. I imagine once she can go outside, this girl will never want to come inside as she will be happily exploring all of the wonders that await her!

Kona and her 10, yes TEN siblings were found after they and their mama, Bonnie, had been unceremoniously dumped in a rural field in Oklahoma. The babies were maybe a day old, and their mom was emaciated and in absolutely atrocious condition. We stepped in and got this precious family to Colorado within a week to begin the healing process. Mama Bonnie has the most loving, forgiving, soft and gentle disposition. If her pups have even half of her temperament, they are going to be AMAZING! She has done well to raise all of these pups, and teach them pack manners. Of course, it will be up to their new hoomans to continue their education & training to help them become the best doggos ever!

Won’t you please consider adding this precious, sweet, loving little girl to your family? If you are not quite ready to add a new member to your family, won’t you please SHARE our adoptable kiddos to your social media? You never know when your share is the share that will bring them home.

Kona’s adoption fee is $450 and includes spay, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations, dewormers, and she will come home with a hobo bag of things to help her get started in her new furever home. You can apply to welcome her into your family by completing an adoption application below. Please understand that adopting from P.R.A.R. means FOREVER. Please do NOT apply if you do not have the time or experience to properly train and exercise a dog (now and in the future) or if you do not meet the minimum adoption requirements for the dog in which you are applying. APPLICATIONS NOT COMPLETED PROPERLY AND ENTIRELY WILL NOT BE PROCESSED,
