#AdoptableFrida loves EVERYONE once she meets them and has the chance to get comfortable. This has typically taken about a day or two since she has been with us. She has been good with other dogs, but can be a little possessive of her people (she loves to have ALL of your love and snuggles). Frida is a total snuggle bug on the couch and in the bed, which is most definitely where she will be sleeping. She will climb right under those covers where it’s nice and warm and snuggle down until you tell her it’s time to get up! She loves to fly around the house doing zoomies and playing with her toys. Frida would do best in a quiet home with adults, or an older couple/person who can spend their days with her. She is super tiny and shy at first, so a noisy or busy home might not be best for her. Frida will need someone to help her continue her work with potty training. Her foster mom reports that she hasn’t had any pee accidents, but will occasionally have a poopie inside because she gets busy exploring when she’s outside and doesn’t go. Her new family will need to be consistent with taking her out and keeping her there with you for a while until she goes potty. She does not mess in her kennel, but she also isn’t a fan of being kenneled. We are currently working to see if she prefers to be in a puppy pen. She eats her kibble well, and can sometimes try to steal the other pets’ food. Frida walks pretty well on leash, but will sometimes freeze if she sees something scary out on her walk. She is the sweetest, snuggliest little thing in the world and we feel that once she is in a consistent, loving home – she will gain confidence and flourish! ♥♥♥♥
KNOWN HISTORY – Frida came to us after her owner was hospitalized and not expected to survive. The shelter pulled numerous chihuahua mix dogs from the property.
