Nick – 8lb Male

Saint Nikolas Longbottom is the largest in his litter, at a whopping 8 pounds! The rumors are true – the big ones are just big teddy bears! Nick is the teddy bear of the litter. Yeah, he likes to play… he will wrestle with his siblings when he’s egged on enough to do so. But Nick’s joy is in his hoomans. He’ll walk away from the raucous antics of his siblings to crawl into your arms and snuggle. Nick isn’t picky, either. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a loyal bone in his body. Nick loves EVERYONE. If YOU don’t have time to snuggle with him, he’ll take any stranger off the street and snuggle with THEM! Nick is brave… sort of. He will move forward with his mission, but he’s going to look back at you with those sweet puppy dog eyes for reassurance that he’s still ok. Nick has learned to climb the stairs, but can’t come down on his own just yet, and he hides his eyes when you carry him down so he won’t have to look! LOL! Nick is such a sweet, goofy little charachter! He LOVES to play and explore, and SNUGGLE!  This boy is a love of loves… a soul dog in the making. Come meet this precious little man to see for yourself just how fabulous he is!

Chestnut – 5lb Male

Chestnut is the little man of the group! At juuuuuust barely 5 pounds, this little low-rider is confident, he is proud, and he is BRAVE… until he’s not! He still checks in with his hoomans every now and then to make sure you’ve got his back!  Chestnut is a warrior who has overcome some scary stuff in his baby life, and he is taking his second chance by the hand and running with it! Chestnut aspirated while nursing when he was just a couple of weeks old. He developed a nasty pneumonia and was hospitalized for several days as he fought for his life. Tho we were told to euthanize him – we knew there was a fighter in there! As long as he was fighting, we were going to fight with him! After a few days, our miracle boy started to turn the corner. Today, you’d never know that he was sick. True to the dachshund nature, Chestnut is an explorer and lets his nose guide him. This boy is happy, playful, loves his 4-legged friends and is ready to roll with a family who will give him all the love, fun, and adventure this world has to offer!

Mama Evie is the mother to this litter of tiny, little darlings! Evie is a dachshund mix. Their daddy is an unknown, nosey neighbor dog who skipped town as soon as mom got knocked up.

Evie is about a 3 year old Dachshung who weighs 19 pounds – but honestly, she could stand to loose a few. She’s made a few too many trips to her puppy’s food dish! 💗 The Christmas Eve Miracles 💗

These babies really are FABULOUS little low-riders! They are brave and confident, and ready to take over the world – sort of. They are very food/treat motivated, sleep through the night with their siblings in a dog pen, but would thoroughly enjoy snuggling with their hoomans at night, too! As young pups, they will still need structure and support with potty training. They relish in positive reinforcement and cheers for a job well-done!

KNOWN HISTORY: Our Christmas Eve Miracles were born on the cold cement floor of an OK animal shelter to Mama Evie on Christmas Eve, 2022. Their mama did all she could to protect her tiny babies, but sadly, two littermates didn’t make it through the night. Little did this family know, they were to be euthanized within a few days of birth,.. before their young lives even began. That’s when they were pulled by PRAR and their lives were changed forever. ♥

Adoption fee is $475 and includes spay or neuter, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations and dewormers. They will come home with a hobo bag of things to help them get started in her new furever home. You can apply to welcome one of these tiny little darlings into your family by completing an adoption application below.

Please understand that adopting from P.R.A.R. means FOREVER. Even if you move, have kids, etc. Please do NOT apply if you do not have the time to properly train and exercise a dog (now and in the future) or if you do not meet the minimum adoption requirements for the dog in which you are applying.
