ELVIS (Ebbis)
What can I say about this spectacular little 5-month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? Elvis, or “Ebbis” as I have come to call him is probably the sweetest, most loving, affectionate, velvety-soft, playful, happy, darling little ball of perfection on the planet. Elvis and I went through a lot back in Feb/March when he came into rescue with a bad pneumonia. I was with him around the clock, fretting and fussing over this precious soul for weeks. We bonded. He’s perfect. Elvis is on the smaller side at only about 8 pounds, and can be hurt easily playing with super rambunctious larger breed dogs, but he LOVES the company of other playful, friendly dogs who are similar in size. Elvis is an outdoorsman, who loves using his doggy door to let himself out to explore the yard and all the treasures it holds! Sticks and pine cones seem to be a current favorite. Elvis seems to be aware that his foster siblings cannot use the doggy door or the stairs, so he is the self-appointed ‘gatherer’ of the group. He goes out and gathers fun treasure to bring into the house and share with his friends! He’s sooooo thoughtful!
As you can see in the video above, Elvis is REALLY good about recognizing limitations of other pups. The pup he’s playing with is physically and mentally disabled. He is so very gentle with her, but he always includes her in play sessions. No one is left out or made to feel alone when Elvis is in da house! When he’s playing with stronger dogs, he ups his game and plays a lot harder. He’s a soul dog. He’s perfect. Elvis has done well with older kids who’ve come to play, but has not met any cats yet. He is still working on potty training, and does do most of his business outside. He does still have some accidents in the house (typically at night) because we think he might be afraid of the big bad DARK yard. He hasn’t quite mastered the “let mom know when you have to pee” thing, but he’ll get there. In the interim, he’s pretty good about using a potty pad if available.
KNOWN HISTORY – Mill broker surrender. These pups have lived their entire lives being nothing more than a number or merchandise. Their whole worlds changed the day they came into our program! They finally got to be members of a real family, and we can’t wait to watch them grow up in loving homes where they are part of YOUR family, too!
Won’t you please consider adding this precious, sweet, loving, active little boy to your family? If you are not quite ready to add a new member to your family, won’t you please SHARE our adoptable kiddos to your social media? You never know when your share will be the share that brings them home.
Elvis’s adoption fee is $850 and includes neuter, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations and dewormers, and he will come home with a hobo bag of things to help him get started in his new furever home. You can apply to welcome this handsome young fella into your family by completing an adoption application below.
