💖 ADOPT BOOMER! 💖

Boomer, our 3-month-old, 6.5-pound Yorkie/Maltese puppy, is ready to steal your heart and fill your home with unrivaled, school-girl-squeal’ happiness. Rescued from a puppy mill, Boomer has quickly adapted to the wonders of the “outside” world, and his zest for life is truly infectious.

Boomer is the epitome of a happy, upbeat, and loving furball. His temperament is a perfect mix of playful puppy and snuggle buddy – he’s the kind of companion who will make every day brighter. You simply can’t NOT be happy when Boomer is around. His motto seems to be “PICK ME! PICK ME!” as he eagerly seeks to be picked up and showered with affection.

Once in your arms, Boomer will lean his entire body into you, tuck his head under your chin, and revel in the intimacy of that special togetherness. He understands when it’s time to play independently, and will do so. But he’ll always come back to his beloved humans.

This tiny adventurer loves exploring his surroundings and is fascinated by every new toy he encounters. Keep in mind that, to a 3-month-old puppy like Boomer, everything is a potential plaything. Therefore, a home with older kids who can keep their small toys picked up is preferred.

Boomer’s adorable puppy energy is FAAAABULOUS, and watching him zip around the house all ‘Free-Willy’ style with his wittle-legged, wicked fast zoomies is sure to bring a smile to your face, if not a full-on belly laugh! His playful antics include hiding under the sofa for a surprise toe nibble – just one of the many ways he spreads joy.

The great outdoors is Boomer’s new playground, and he revels in every moment exploring the yard. He’s a social butterfly, especially when it comes to fellow furry friends. Boomer adores other dogs! Big dogs, little dogs, blue dogs, green dogs – doesn’t matter! If they’re friendly, he’s in doggy heaven. We think that Boomer will thrive in a home with another 4-legged buddy to be his new best friend!

After a day filled with adventures, Boomer enjoys winding down by lying on his back with all four adorable, floofy legs up in the air. It’s the perfect way to end a day full of puppy play.

Boomer is making great strides in his potty training and mostly uses his potty pads. With a consistent schedule, patience, and plenty of ‘ATTA-BOYS,’ he’s well on his way to mastering this important skill.

About This Breed Mix:

People love the Yorkshire terrier, and they love the Maltese, so it’s only natural they would want to combine the two for a mixed breed that has the fluff and sweetness of a Maltese and the verve and coloring of a Yorkie. Universe, meet the Morkie. Like their parent breeds, Morkies are small, energetic toy dogs who love their families. Because they can be vocal about unfamiliar people, they also make good alarm systems, alerting their owners to someone walking up to the door with a sharp bark. Caring for a Morkie is pretty straightforward: Consistent, positive reinforcement training, a moderate amount of regular exercise, and regular grooming. The Morkie coat, while typically long, is often kept in a short puppy cut. Morkies are low-shedding and considered to be a low-allergen dog. And while no dog is truly hypoallergenic, Morkies can be a good fit for those who tend to sniffle around puppies.
