💖 BEAU 💖

Handsome Beau here is about a 5-ish year old Miniature Schnauzer, and he is quite the distinguished gentleman! This gentle soul is a quiet, thoughtful cuddle bug unless you scare him or another dog walks by, then he is very loud and wants to make sure you know that your knight in shining armor is in protection mode. Beau is a, “paws-on” kinda guy, and prefers to lay on your lap instead of next to you. He loves to get his pets in, so if you stop petting him, he will either nudge you with his nose or put his paw very gently on your hand to let you know it’s not quite time to stop petting him yet. Beau will quietly stare at you with his big, brown, soulful eyes if he is not finished getting attention. He does love to play fetch, even though, he sometimes forgets to bring the toy back to you. If you are busy working or cooking dinner, he is content just curling up on his bed and waiting until you can give him more of your undying love and attention. He sleeps all night in his kennel and is great with going out the dog door, coming back can sometimes be a bit of a challeng. He will patiently sit and wait for you to open the door to let him back in. He is a boy and will lift his leg and pee on everything there is to pee on – outside. Beau is crate trained and content with going in his kennel when you leave the house. He will get zoomies and bouncies when you let him out; charging down the hall at full speed! When he get’s back to you he will bounce up and down with all the ferver that his little hind leg springs will allow! He does love you so much, after all!  Beau enjoys long romantic walks with his hoomans, and is very eager and uses those springs in his back legs to let you know how excited he is to go for walkies. We think Beau was fairly new to walks, and is still learning not to pull, or react to other dogs while on walkabout. Those adorable bouncies return again at feeding time. He will run around and bounce up and down trying to get you to go faster so he can get to his food. He is a pretty good work at home companion and if he can’t get some petting in, he will just curl up and lay down until you can give him more attention. If you think Beau sounds like most awesome boyo evah – you’re right! He is! So fill out that adoption application today!

KNOWN HISTORY – Beau was surrendered to rescue after folks in OK noticed that their family member wouldn’t let him in the house any longer. When they asked the original owner why Beau couldn’t come inside, they were told that the owner didn’t want him anymore. When they asked how Beau was supposed to protect himself from animals and elements the owner basically said, he didn’t care. We took Beau into our program, had him neutered, had a dental cleaning done, surgically repaired a terrible umbilical hernia, and got him microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. There was NO reason for this wonderful little dog to be cast off like he was. He is a GREAT DOG!

Won’t you please consider adding this precious, sweet, loving little boy to your family? If you are not quite ready to add a new member to your family, won’t you please #SHARE our adoptable kiddos on social media? You never know when your share is the share that will bring them home.

Beau’s adoption fee is $550 and includes neuter, microchip with free lifetime registration, age appropriate vaccinations, dewormers, and heartworm prevention started. He will come home with a hobo bag of things to help him get started in his new furever home. You can apply to welcome him into your family by completing an adoption application below.
