🐶 About the “Bully Bros”

The “Bully Boys” are what we lovingly refer to as a pack of silly, clumsy hooligans. 😂🐾

They are happy, playful, squishy-faced angels… but they are also a lot of puppy.

These boys are:

  • clumsy
  • enthusiastic
  • Smarter than us
  • Into everything
  • Living their BEST lives (now)
  • still figuring out how to operate their giant feet

Which is adorable… but can also result in the occasional accidental bulldozing of smaller creatures during play.

Olde English Bulldogges are not the sedentary, flat-snouted bulldogs many people picture. They are a larger, more athletic, functional bulldog breed capable of keeping up with an active family, yet are perfectly content to binge watch the entire Supernatural series in one sitting if they’re getting snuggles.

Because of their size and energy, they will need:

  • A secure, fully fenced yard

  • room to run and play

  • continued training and enrichment

  • an engaged, present-more-than-not family ready for a big, smart, goofy puppy, who is going to be an absolutely A-MAZING life partner.

🐾MEATBALL

🌎 A Whole New World… And Meatball Is VERY Excited About It

There are puppies… and then there are puppies like Meatball,  the kind that make your heart fall directly out of your chest the moment you see them.

Because standing in front of you is this gloriously wrinkled, velvety-soft brindle bowling ball with canoe-sized feet, enormous brown eyes, and a face so squishable that your brain immediately shuts down and your soul just whispers:

“Well. That’s it. I love him.”

Meatball has that effect on people.

He is warm.
He is goofy.
He is unbelievably affectionate.

But more than anything else?

Meatball is joy.

🎁The Puppy Experiencing Life Like a Kid on Christmas Morning

You see, Meatball hasn’t had toys for most of his life.

So when he recently discovered them?

Friends.

This child lost his mind.

Every toy he finds is treated like the greatest treasure ever discovered in the history of the world.

A squeaky toy?
Treasure.

A stick?
Magnificent.

A crinkly toy?
Revolutionary.

A leaf blowing across the yard?
Clearly the greatest discovery of the day.

He lights up like a kid on Christmas morning every single time he discovers something new. His eyes sparkle, his little body wiggles, and suddenly he’s proudly carrying around his prize like he just found pirate treasure.

And the best part?

Sometimes he takes his treasures directly into the toy box… and lays on top of them.

Because why waste valuable puppy energy running back and forth for toys when you can simply install yourself directly inside the supply closet?

🐾 Built Like A Potato. Powered By Happiness.

Meatball is currently 29 pounds of brindle-and-white perfection, which means he’s built like a small ottoman with legs and approximately five sizes too much body for his brain.

And those feet?

Canoes.

Absolute canoes.

Which means Meatball is still very much in the process of figuring out how his own limbs operate.

Sometimes his brain says:

“TURN AROUND.”

And his body says:

“We regret to inform you this maneuver may result in an abrupt Meatball FLOP, followed by a brief moment of existential confusion.”

So yes, occasionally he turns too quickly and tips over like a panda bear in a weeble-wobble saucer.

And honestly?

It just makes him more lovable.

Because he pops right back up like:

“I  meant to do that.”

🧸 Selectively Lazy (A Strategic Life Choice)

Now listen carefully.

Meatball does play.

And when he wrestles with his foster siblings?

Oh, you’re getting THE FULL MEATBALL.

He becomes a surprisingly agile little thing — climbing, tumbling, bouncing, and wrastlin’ like a cracked-out monkey who just discovered he can launch that chubby butt impressively far.

But Meatball is also a strategic thinker.

For example:

As referenced in the video above:

Francis is pulling with every ounce of  strength he possesses.

Meatball?

Meatball lays down.

Rope in mouth.

And simply allows Francis to drag him across the yard.

Because why expend unnecessary energy when physics can do the work for you?

Honestly?

That’s just smart.

🛋️ Professional Couch Potato (With Occasional Monkey Energy)

Meatball’s daily schedule is a masterpiece of balance.

First: cuddles.
Then: yard exploration.
Then: breakfast or snuffle-mat treasure hunting.
Then: a nap.
Then: wrestling.
Then: another nap.

Being a puppy is exhausting work, and Meatball commits fully to both sides of the lifestyle.

When he crashes?

He crashes hard.

Picture this:

You’re on the couch watching your show.

Next to you is 29 pounds of warm, squishy bulldog baby, upside down, belly exposed, soft rolls begging to be pet while he snores gently.

If you happen to binge-watch the entire Supernatural series?

Meatball will happily be your couch companion for the whole journey.

🚽 Potty Training Adventures

Meatball is doing pretty well with potty training and learning more every day.

He:
• uses the doggy door easily
• will go outside to pee and poop, especially if a favorite human goes with him
• mostly uses potty pads indoors

Occasionally he misses the pad — which is normal while puppies are still learning routines — but his understanding is growing quickly.

He can usually hold it overnight, though he needs to head outside right after waking up. Having a person outside with him helps keep him focused long enough to finish the job, because he’d much rather be near his people than hanging out alone in the yard.

🐶 Friends Everywhere

Meatball has done great with:

✔ men
✔ women
✔ teenagers
✔ elderly folks
✔ dogs of all sizes

He hasn’t met cats or very young kids yet, but we can tell you confidently that the 4lb chihuahua has scared the snot out of him on a couple of occasions. (Same.)

He is still a typical mouthy puppy, but he’s learning quickly that toys are the correct outlet for those busy little teeth.

And honestly, his favorite thing in the world isn’t chewing anyway.

It’s being near his people.

❤️ The Heart of a Meatball

When you really look into Meatball’s eyes, you see something simple and beautiful:

A puppy who is experiencing the world for the first time.

Leaves.
Wind.
Grass.
Toys.
Snuggles.

Everything is new.

Everything is wonderful.

And Meatball approaches it all with this wide-eyed, clumsy, wholehearted enthusiasm that makes people laugh… and then suddenly realize…  they’re completely in love.

He’s goofy.

He’s affectionate.

He’s a little bit of a couch potato and a little bit of a wrestling champion.

But most of all?

He’s just Meatball.

And once you meet him, your heart won’t just melt — it will flop right out of your chest in the very best way.

KNOWN HISTORY:

This kiddo was rescued from the pet trade. Living in a real home now, they are learning all about life outside of the cage with their loving foster families. They are enjoying playtime, beginning training, learning structure, and having the BEST time of their lives. (so far)

ABOUT THIS BREED:

Olde English Bulldogge

The Olde English Bulldogge (OEB) is a medium-to-large, muscular, athletic breed developed in the 1970s to recreate the classic bulldog look while improving overall health and temperament. Unlike the modern English Bulldog, the OEB was intentionally bred to be more active, more athletic, and less prone to breathing and health problems.

Most Olde English Bulldogges weigh 60–105 pounds and typically live 11–14 years, which is longer than many other flat-faced bulldog breeds.

Temperament

Despite their powerful appearance, Olde English Bulldogges are friendly, affectionate, and playful companions. They are confident and loyal dogs that form strong bonds with their families. With proper socialization, they are typically welcoming toward strangers and enjoy interacting with other dogs and animals.

OEBs are known for being people-focused, emotionally intuitive, and eager to please, which makes them highly trainable and responsive to their owners.

Intelligence & Trainability

Olde English Bulldogges are smart and eager learners. They respond well to positive training and can excel in obedience work, service tasks, therapy work, and even agility. Because they enjoy mental stimulation, training sessions should remain engaging to prevent boredom.

Energy Level

This breed has moderate energy levels. They enjoy playtime and walks but are equally happy relaxing with their family. Regular exercise such as yard play, daily walks, or interactive games helps keep them physically healthy and mentally satisfied.

Children & Other Animals

With proper socialization, Olde English Bulldogges are typically excellent family dogs. They are known for being patient, affectionate, and protective with children. Most OEBs also do well with other animals and enjoy playing with other dogs, though early socialization is important.

Watchdog Ability

Olde English Bulldogges make excellent watchdogs. They are naturally alert and will bark to notify their family of strangers or unusual activity. However, they are not excessive barkers.

Grooming & Care

OEBs are relatively easy to care for. Their short coats require regular brushing to manage shedding, which occurs year-round and may increase during seasonal changes. Routine grooming should also include bathing as needed, regular nail trimming, and veterinary checkups.

Diet

Olde English Bulldogges thrive on a high-quality diet formulated for medium-to-large breeds, rich in protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. Proper nutrition and portion control help maintain healthy weight and overall wellbeing.

Ideal Home

Olde English Bulldogges thrive in homes where they receive regular companionship, exercise, and attention. They enjoy being part of family activities and do best with owners who can be with them more often than not. With proper care and socialization, they are wonderful companions for families, individuals, and even first-time dog owners.
