Adoptables

Adoption Process

  1. Complete our online adoption application  This application MUST be completed in it’s entirety. If not completed fully, your application may not be processed. We do NOT adopt outside of Colorado.
  2.  If you do NOT hear back from us within 2 business days of submitting your application, please email us at pawsitiverestorations@gmail.com.
  3. Once your application has passed review, we will call to schedule a meeting.
  4. If you have an APPROVED application already on file, you may contact us to meet any of our animals, or attend an adoption event to meet and choose the animal you’d like to welcome home, (provided you meet the individual criteria for the animal you wish to adopt). We keep approved applications until Jan. 1st of every year. It is ALWAYS best to have an approved application on file.
  5. If you and the animal fall in love, you will place a $100.00 holding deposit on your animal, and a PRAR rep will schedule a home visit.
  6. Once the home visit has been passed, arrangements will be made to sign adoption contracts and take possession of your new fur-baby.

**NOTE** ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE ON A WELLNESS HOLD FOR A MINIMUM OF 14 DAYS FROM ARRIVAL! This allows us the opportunity to ensure our animals are healthy, and to complete behavioral assessments so that we may place our kiddos in the best home FOR THEM. We do not adopt on a first come – first served basis. Homes are selected based on the individual animal’s needs.

Bridger – MALE 12wk – Schnauzer Mix – Available 8/14/20 WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS ON BRIDGER. We have over 50 apps on him already.

#AdoptableBridger is (we think) about a 12 week old male Schnauzer mix. He is an absolute doll and will make an excellent addition to a home with other dogs. He loves his labrador foster brother! He thinks he’s a big boy and loves to play with the big dog toys, especially the huge rope that he tugs and pulls around. Bridger is doing well with potty training and is good about going outside, but still needs reinforcement and reminders to go out. He sleeps through the night by himself, but always prefer the company of his brother, so a home with another dog is preferable. This little goofball likes to steal all the toys and put them in his crate just to make sure he has ALL THE THINGS around him. He’s super sweet, and super adorable, but just like with all puppies, you have to watch him! His current fascination is charging cords, you’ve been warned! LOL! Bridger is VERY smart, and learns quickly. If you are not quite ready to bring a forever friend home, would you please #SHARE our little orphans to help us find their furever families?

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR BRIDGER. Over 50 applications came through in just a couple of hours. Please consider one of our other adorable adoptables. Thank you!

Pete – MALE 12wk – Schnauzer Mix – Available 8/14/20WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS ON PETE. We have over 50 apps on him already.

#AdoptablePete is (we believe) a 10-12 week old male Schnauzer mix, lovingly dubbed an “old soul” and described as “angelic” by his veterinarian. He seems to be all grown up in a little puppy body. He watches out for his brother, Bridger, and acts like a tough guy if he feels that he needs to be protective. Pete caught on to potty training pretty quickly, (these boys are SMART!) He hasn’t had a single accident since arriving to his foster home, and he’s quickly learning basic commands. He sleeps through the night in his crate like a big boy. Pete doesn’t like when other dogs bard in the neighbor’s yard, and looks to his hoomans for reassurance to know whether he’s doing the right thing. His confidence will grow with the right family to help him build on his good foundation. Pete is a snuggler, and loves his people. He would do well with a doggy sibling, or as an only dog as long as he got lots and lots of love and attention from his favorite people.

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR PETE. Over 50 applications came through in just a couple of hours. Please consider one of our other adorable adoptables. Thank you!

Link – MALE 12wk – Jack Russell/Corgi Mix – Available 8/14/20

#AdoptableLink is (we think) a 10-12 week old Jack Russell/Corgi mix. This little big earedmonster is a total LOVER! Not only does he love to sit on laps and cuddle, but he can never seem to get close enough to his hooman. He’s a bit bigger than his brother, Radar, showing alpha tendencies, and definitely very outgoing. He loves to play and his favorite things are shoe strings and the ice maker. He is great with his doggy foster sister and kids too! Link is still working on potty training but he is consistently using the potty training pads. This is one super smart, super ADORABLE kiddo ya’ll! Fully fenced yard is required for Jack Russell kiddos. If you are not quite ready to bring a forever friend home, would you please #SHARE our little orphans to help us find their furever families?

You can apply to welcome him into your family by completing our ADOPTION APPLICATION. Application must be completed in its entirety, or it will not be processed. Please remember that adopting one of our animals means FOREVER. (Even after Covid is over.) If you are ready to give a wonderful FOREVER home to a furry friend, we definitely want to hear from you!

Radar – MALE 12wk – Jack Russell/Corgi Mix – Available 8/14/20

#AdoptableRadar is (we think) about a 10-12 week old male Jack Russell/Corgi mix. JUST LOOK AT THOSE EARS FOLKS! Radar is definitely the more submissive of the two brothers (Link and Radar). He is a bit shy and timid, but once he warms up – you can’t help but to fall in love with this little freckle faced boy! He’s a very curious pup and is always making his foster family laugh with what he’s managed to find and drag out of hiding. Radar loves to run zoomies around the house, chase toys and burrow in blankets. He’d rather not be alone, so a home with other dogs and even children (no toddlers) is preferred! Fully fenced yard is required for Jack Russell kiddos. If you are not quite ready to bring a forever friend home, would you please #SHARE our little orphans to help us find their furever families?

Floyd – MALE 12wk – Dachshund Mix – Available 8/14/20

#AdoptableFloyd is (we think) about a 10-12 week old male Dachshund mix. Mixed with what? Who knows… but this kiddo is a floppy-eared low-rider for sure! Floyd is a happy-go-lucky kinda guy. He loves to run around the back yard and that tail is ALWAYS wagging! We would like to see him go to a home with a nice fenced yard for him to run in. He is cuddly, but he’s also comfortable being alone in his own space. He’s that lovable, yet independent type of guy. He is SUPER playful tho, so he requires his hoomans to spoil him with a ton-o-toys, forever! He is doing well with potty training. He ALWAYS uses is training pad, and is learning to go outside when given the opportunity to do so. He has been good with kids, cats and larger sized dogs in his loving foster home. If you are not quite ready to bring a forever friend home, would you please #SHARE our little orphans to help us find their furever families?

Eva – FEMALE 12wk – Dachshund Mix – Available 8/14/20

#AdoptableEva is (we think) about a 10-12 week old female Dachshund mix. Mixed with what? Not sure, but we may see some Jack Russell, or possibly even Red Heeler in there… but make no mistake – this kiddo is a low-rider for sure! Eva is a LOVER, through and through! She is not shy about asking to be in your lap. She is ALWAYS (not someways) down to play and always down for lovinz from her hoomans. Eva is the princess, and as such she requires a soft, fluffy place to lay and she’s more than happy to ruffle up her area to make that happen. She WILL be spoiled. No, you won’t have a choice. This kiddos LOVES her toys, so you will obligated to ensure she has a lifetime supply of all the fun things to keep our princess happy! She is doing well with potty training, and always uses her training pad inside. She will go outside if directed and given the opportunity. Eva is good with kids, cats and bigger (friendly) dogs. #AdoptablePiper is (we think) about a 10-12 week old female Dachshund mix. Mixed with what? Who knows… but this kiddo is a floppy-eared low-rider for sure! Piper is the “shy but cuddly” one in the group. She is timid at first, but warms up fast. She loves to be pet and cuddled. She is very playful with her brother and sister, and we think she would do well with another doggy sibling to play with in her furever home. Looking for a partner to binge watch shows with? Piper is your girl. She digs watching TV, and you might as well know now that she has those classic puppy dog eyes, so you WILL be at her beck and call. You just can’t say no to her, and that’s okay with us! She loves all the chew toys, and will require lots of spoiling by her people. She is doing well with potty training, and always uses her training pad inside. She will go outside if directed and given the opportunity. Piper is good with kids, cats and bigger (friendly) dogs. Patches – MALE 7-8 month old Dachshund/Chi Mix – Available 8/14/20

#AdoptablePatches is about a 7/8 month old Dachshund/Chi mix, possibly with Heeler? He’s a little guy, but boy is he TOUGH! You see, Patches has been a P.R.A.R. dog since we first tagged him and his siblings out of a high kill shelter in NM on Dec. 26th, 2019! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet this dream boat until two weeks ago, because Patches was diagnosed with distemper after being released from the shelter. Thank GOD he’s a fighter and his foster mommy in NM was dedicated to saving his life! He did not get a bad case of the virus, but it took SEVERAL months for his bloodwork to come back clear of the virus so that we could bring him here and find him his happily ever after. Distemper is a dog killer – the only thing I fear more than Parvo, and this kid BEAT IT! YAAAAY!!!! Now, on to the good stuff — Patches is a sweet, goofy little boy! He loves to play with his foster doggy siblings and his squeaky toys. (Write that down – stock up on squeaky toys.) He enjoys long walks around the neighborhood and cuddles with his people. Patches is completely potty trained too! I mean, how much more perfect could he get?! Okay, so one little quirk that he has is that he likes to cover up his food bowl. He likes to cover it up with a blanket… whatever THAT’S about. LOL! We would LOVE to see patches go to a home with a secure, safe yard for him to explore, and other doggy siblings for him to romp around with! If you are not quite ready to bring a forever friend home, would you please #SHARE our little orphans to help us find their furever families?
